Today, at my job which I will not name, I was placing my work-shirt on in the men’s restroom when I heard the sound of the lone toilet bowl in the adjacent women’s restroom flush! This is significant to this post for meeting the threshold of initiating a Paranormal investigation, or an annotated entry: Because I had just walked by the other–and only other–employees on the jobsite. They were all (3) in the same general area, & later asked all of them (all women) had they gone to the bathroom within the last five minutes–none had.
Bottom line: women’s toilet bowl had flushed while vacant. Time was around 6:45 AM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Humidity around this time was approximately 60% (TimeAndDate . com)–this is relevant, as both women’s and men’s restroom at my job (both, single occupancy) have a sensor for flushing. As noted in my previous blog in a men’s restroom in Blog no. 8, about a hand-sink’s sensor, there is a (distant) possibility that moisture in the air could affect the sensor. Sixty-percent is considered moderately-high in the Plains states.
However, if that were the case, why hadn’t the toilet in the men’s restroom also flush on its own? For that matter, according to TimeAndDate, the humidity remained close to 60% within an hour’s time–why hadn’t that same toilet in the women’s restroom flush on its own more than once or twice? This point, too, is key, but on the side of likely debunkment for any so-called ghost story. Which, no surprise, there is one or two at my worksite.
Indeed, my supervisor on the floor at the time had joked that it was that same ghost she had told me about earlier in the year. According to this same manager, the same event happened with the men’s restroom months ago while she and the site-manager were entering the building early-morning. Speaking as a Skeptic: would it make sense for a ghost(s) to take the time to reach over into our tangible world so said-ghost could flush a toilet bowl?
